Favorite Moments of 08: SO MANY!
- Jan 1: New Years Sleepover with UCUers, proceeded by an adventure with Kailey to find the highest point in Seattle to view the mountains (most beautiful day of 08, in my opinion)
-UCU dances
-March 19: Insomnia before chem final. Not because I was studying, but because I couldn't for the life of me fall asleep. I went from bed to bed, to couch. It proved to be a very interesting night, concluding with a sunrise breakfast from the UCU roof. I learned alot about myself that night.
-Ferry boat ride back from Bainbridge at night
-Braveheart night/ any time we tried to infiltrate the guy's secret meetings
-Domincan Republic 2008: The people, the memories, the friendships.
-Yelling around UCU
-Laying out in the UCU lawn in spring quarter
-Beach Bash in Eastern Wa
- Scary movies at UCU
-Seeing too much of a female neighbor in the apartment complex
-Anytime that I fell down laughing
-Getting into Lost
-Working for the first time in my life
- July 3rd: I was awoken by loud clapping outside our house. I went onto the roof just at dawn, and braved the winds and rain and watched as the lighting struck less than a mile away. Thrilling! Also went to camp/ Langley fireworks show.
-Meeting myspace friends Alex and Becky from New Zealand for the first time
-Star gazing late into the night
-Bus rides to camp (surprisingly peaceful)
- Bainbridge camp out
-Coffee/ Movie dates with E. Hanson
-Life conversations in the bathroom
-Frisbee golf with the guys around campus at midnight
-Nearly all 80 days of summer
-Snowball fights
-Loud and crazy freshman groups

If 07's theme was "Expect the Unexpected", 08 was "A Glorious Return". By that I mean I felt like I came back to God- saw his beauty more and depended on him, through daily prayer and reading. I started to take a good look at myself and what my aim and mission in life ought to be. I saw him in my friends and family more, and (with his help) practiced leaning on him more, instead of taking things into my own hands. He is slowly chipping away at this hardened heart of mine.

Things I learned:
-Making friends is FUN!/ initiate more
-Ignorance is bliss.
-Dance at least once a day. It's good for the soul.
-Don't discount yourself because you are young--be who you want to be, TODAY.
-Expect more out of people.
-Don't give up--work hard in the face of adversity.

Just to name a few.....
I have quite a number of resolutions too.

Overall, a great year. Can't wait to see what 09 brings!
