Ya know what I love?

Strangers.
I don't know what it is, but I get excited, nay giddy, by the smallest interactions I have with a complete stranger. A shared smile over that loon in the theater. A nod of approval. The feeling of knowing you and this person you've never met (and never will see again) are thinking the EXACT same thing. It honestly has the ability to make my day.

One time my sister and I were in Target, and this pack of youths were walking ahead of us, talking really loudly and just being absolute goobers. I'm thinking "Who are these dweebs?" and behind me I hear this emo guy with his girlfriend start mocking them with a dead-on impression. Too loudly, obviously, since I turned around and laughed hysterically. But as I scurried away with my shopping cart, still laughing my head off, I said to myself "Ya know, that was the funniest thing I saw all day, and I probably made this guy's day too, since he looked pretty witty infront of his girlfriend, being able to get a complete stranger to laugh".

So start pushing those social boundaries. Make comments out loud. Clap obnoxiously at the movie theater. Make those faces that let a fellow customer know exactly what your thinking. You never know whose funny bone you'll hit juuust right.

To share a laugh with a stranger-- in the words of Martha Stewart, its a good thing.
